Microsoft 365 Management & Migration in Cypress
Microsoft 365 is where your email, files, and meetings live, which makes it the single most valuable target in your business. We run it properly: migrations that do not lose mail, identity locked down, files organized, licensing that matches what you actually use, and someone accountable when a mailbox misbehaves.
The Problem
A Cypress company usually arrives at Microsoft 365 sideways. Someone bought a few licenses years ago, a departing consultant still holds the global administrator account, and file sharing happens through whatever a staff member found convenient. Old employees have mailboxes nobody closed, shared documents are scattered between personal OneDrive folders and a dying file server, and multifactor authentication was turned on for some people but not the owner. Licensing quietly drifts, so you pay for seats nobody uses while the people handling contracts and patient information sit on the cheapest plan. Then a vendor email asks to change bank details and nobody can tell whether the message really came from who it claims.
The Solution
We take over the tenant properly, starting with who holds administrative control and how identity is protected. Migrations from an old mail host, a legacy Exchange server, or Google Workspace are planned mailbox by mailbox, tested with a pilot group, and cut over on a schedule that does not stop a workday. Files get a structure in SharePoint and Teams that people can actually navigate, and devices are enrolled in Intune so a lost laptop or personal phone is not a lost data set. Most of this work is remote, which is the fastest way to do it, and because Cypress is in our Houston on-site service area we send someone out on cutover day when staff need shoulder to shoulder help. Scope and the fixed monthly retainer are set on a discovery call.
Core Responsibilities
Identity and Access
Migration and Structure
Ongoing Administration
Engagement Process
Tenant and data review
We audit the existing tenant or mail platform: accounts, licenses, administrators, sharing settings, mail flow rules, and where files really live. Old accounts and forwarding rules left behind by former staff usually surface here.
Design and pilot
We agree the destination structure, security settings, and license mix, then migrate a small pilot group first. The pilot exposes the surprises, printing, scanning to email, or a line of business application that sends mail, while they are still cheap to fix.
Cut over
The full migration runs on an agreed window, usually a weekend, with mail flow switched once data has caught up. Staff arrive to working mail on their machines and phones, and someone is reachable all morning for the stragglers.
Administer and govern
Once live, the tenant is managed continuously: security settings maintained, new hires and departures handled, licensing reviewed, and file sprawl kept in check as teams create new sites.

Common Questions
Will we lose email during the migration?
That is the first thing we design against. Mail is copied ahead of the cutover and synchronized again afterward, so history is in place before the switch, and messages sent during the window are delivered once the change propagates. The pilot group proves the process on real mailboxes before anyone else is affected.
We are on Google Workspace now. Is moving worth the disruption?
Only if there is a reason, and there often is when a business runs Windows machines, Teams for meetings, and software that expects Outlook. If Google is working and your staff know it, we will tell you to stay and secure it instead. The honest answer depends on your applications, not on which vendor we prefer.
Our staff use personal phones for work email. Is that safe?
It can be, with policy applied. Enrollment lets us require a passcode, keep company mail in a container, and wipe only the business data if a phone is lost or an employee leaves. Without it, your client and patient information is walking around a Cypress parking lot with no way to recall it.
Do we need the more expensive Microsoft plans?
Some of your people probably do and others almost certainly do not. Staff handling patient records, contracts, or payment information benefit from the security and retention features in higher tiers, while a shop floor account may need very little. We map plans to roles and review it as the team changes, and we do not discuss pricing on a web page because it depends on your mix.
Who holds the keys to our tenant?
You do. Administrative ownership is recorded in your name, we work through our own managed access, and everything is documented so you could hand it to another firm without hostage negotiation. If a previous consultant still controls your domain or tenant, recovering that is one of the first things we do.

BOOK A CONSULTATIONMicrosoft 365 Management & Migration for Cypress, Texas
Microsoft 365 problems in Cypress tend to be growth problems. A title or insurance office along US-290 adds staff every year and finds that document sharing invented for six people falls apart at twenty. A custom builder working across Bridgeland and the Grand Parkway wants selections, contracts, and photos reachable from a phone at a site rather than from a server nobody can get to after hours. Dental and medical practices near Towne Lake need mail and file storage that supports their patient privacy obligations, which means signed agreements with the vendor, sensible retention, and control over what leaves the practice. Retail and restaurant operators near the Houston Premium Outlets area run lean back offices where one manager holds every login, which is exactly the account a phishing message will target. Many of these companies also employ people connected to Cy-Fair ISD households who work partly from home, so identity has to be strong enough to trust from a kitchen table on a Saturday. The common thread is that email is where money moves in this market, through invoices, draws, wire instructions, and patient statements. Securing and organizing Microsoft 365 here is less about features and more about protecting the way local business actually gets paid.
